Find your place on the map
Open the map and explore before you paint. Search for a place, or move around to discover artwork made by other players. Zoom in until you can distinguish individual pixels.
On a computer, drag the map to move and use the mouse wheel or zoom controls to get closer. On a touch screen, drag to move and pinch to zoom. Choose a small area for your first drawing so it is easy to find again.
Paint your first pixels
Log in to place pixels. Open Paint, choose an available color, then select pixels on the map to prepare your drawing. Review your selection and confirm it with the paint button to publish it on the shared canvas.
Start with a small shape or a few letters. The color palette shows which colors you can use; some colors need to be unlocked. Zoom in for precise placement, especially on a phone.
Keep an eye on your paint charges
Placing pixels uses paint charges. The paint controls show your available charges and capacity. Charges regenerate over time, so you can come back and continue when you have more.
Check the timer and your current capacity in the game instead of planning around a fixed number. Upgrades and the canvas you are painting on can affect your limits. If you cannot publish your whole selection, reduce it to fit your available charges.
Build something together
For a larger project, agree on a location, design, and colors with other players. Alliances help players organize their community and work together. You can browse alliances in the game and follow their joining requirements.
Overlays let you position a reference image on the map to guide a drawing. A reference is a planning aid: adding an overlay does not publish its pixels to the world. You still need to paint the artwork.
